BOOKS AND READING FOR
CHILDREN
Books are an important means
of learning information,
exploring other worlds and
developing skills. The more
we encourage children to
read and value books, the
better their future
prospects.
Children's Book week is
August 19 to 25, 2006. The
theme is Book Now!

every child, and one that makes it possible for them to actively contribute as
adults.
Very young children are often found playing
with books, but some school children lose this interest.
